economic growth
Poverty has caused detrimental effects to the poor in terms of the need for education, health and better housing conditions which is worsening. The increase in poverty is due to the wavering economic growth in Pakistan. Poverty can be reduced if the country’s economy has an economic growth of more than 6%. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) reported that Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product per capita increases at an average rate of 5%. However, this economy growth would not help solve the country’s increasing poverty population. (Akhter, 2014)
