The balance between environmental protection and economic development is disturbed by environmental issues. Not only does it cause an imbalance, Pakistan's environmental issues also affects Pakistanis' health negatively. Pakistan is a large consumer of fossil fuels, and a large importer of renewable as well as exhaustible natural resources. This serves as a major problem for Pakistan due to the pollution caused by the burning of these fossil fuels and the usage of these resources. (Pakistan Environmental Watch, 2011)
