Pakistan’s society has 4 main ethnic groups, Punjabi, Pashtun, Sindhi and Balochi. The country’s official religion is Muslim. Hindus and Christians and several other religions are the minorities. Forms of religious discrimination can be observed in the country such as a biased education system. Just like other Middle East countries, gender inequality is present in the society. Males are preferred over females. A scenario whereby gender bias can be observed is the children enrolment rate in school, majority of the students are males. Social and occupational caste systems are also found in some communities. Pakistan is also suffering from brain drain whereby most of their talented or well educated people are leaving to find better jobs and environment to in.
